Od ožujka 2025. godine, Veleučilište u Rijeci aktivan je partner međunarodnog projekta Women4aGreenEU - Empowering women in green technologies, sufinanciranog sredstvima EU. Pokrenut od strane vodećeg grčkog proizvođača električne energije, Anonymi Etaireia Public Power Corporation SA, zastupljenog od strane gđe Popi Christopoulou, projekt ima za cilj aktivno promovirati zapošljavanje žena u zelenim tehnologijama i STEM-u. Po završetku prve faze projekta u kojoj su svi partneri dostavili izvješća o postojećoj zakonskoj regulativi iz područja ravnopravne zastupljenosti oba spola u zelenim tehnologijama i STEM-u, pristupilo se sljedećoj projektnoj fazi - formiranju mreže stakeholderica iz ciljanih gospodarskih grana koje će svojim znanjem i iskustvom pripomoći mladim ženama, studenticama i poduzetnicama da afirmiraju svoj položaj u ovim dinamičnim područjima.

Prodekan za međunarodnu suradnju, doc. dr. sc. Bernard Vukelić, voditelj projekta, u suradnji s dr. sc. socio. Marijanom Jakopič Ganić i dr. sc. socio. Sanjom Raspor Janković, predano radi na pripremi provedbe istraživačkih aktivnosti kojima će se objediniti znanja i iskustva projektnih stakeholderica. Since March 2025, the University of Applied Sciences of Rijeka has been an active partner of the international project Women4aGreenEU - Empowering women in green technologies, co-financed by the EU. Initiated by the leading Greek electricity producer, Anonymi Etaireia Public Power Corporation SA, represented by Ms. Popi Christopoulou, the project aims to actively promote the employment of women in green technologies and STEM. After the completion of the first phase of the project, in which all partners submitted reports on existing legislation in the field of equal representation of both genders in green technologies and STEM, the next project phase was initiated - the formation of a network of stakeholders from targeted economic sectors who will use their knowledge and experience to help young women, students and entrepreneurs affirm their position in these dynamic areas.

Vice-Dean for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Bernard Vukelić, project manager, in collaboration with Ph.D. Marijana Jakopič Ganić and Prof. Sanja Raspor Janković, Ph.D. is working hard to prepare the implementation of research activities that will unite the knowledge and experience of project stakeholders.
