Why enroll in this course?
Students who have completed one of the same undergraduate studies can enroll in one of two majors in the specialized graduate professional study of Information Technology in Business Systems:
- Software Engineering in Business Systems
- Business Information Systems
In both courses, students will acquire competencies for strategic planning and development of information systems, management of organization, quality and auditing of information systems. During the studies, which are mostly oriented towards practical knowledge and competences, they will use a number of tools and development frameworks that are used in the real ICT sector.
In the course Program Engineering in Business Systems, additional competencies are acquired in the development of information systems combining modular and distributed architectures and in the area of application security.
In the course Business Information Systems, additional competencies are acquired for strategic planning of information systems and Internet technologies and e-business.

- Apply appropriate methods and techniques for creating and managing databases
- Integrate software engineering principles in the development of information systems
- Explore and apply the concepts of modular and distributed architecture in software development
- Present development and software solutions within a business organization
- Apply appropriate methods and techniques for managing security and data protection in information and communication systems
- Identify appropriate standards and apply appropriate quality management methods in the development of business information systems
- Identify appropriate standards and apply methods of controlling and auditing the business information system
- Develop a simulation model for business process optimization
- Produce a production system plan
- Analyze ways to manage complex, process and production systems using computers
- Analyze the possibilities of application and automation by robots
- Apply appropriate ergonomic measures in the field of computer use in the workplace
